Library or information service? Librarian or information
professional? Librarianship, library science or information science?
It’s far more than just the name: the activities of the library
and librarian have been transformed in recent years. It is vital for
a librarian to keep abreast of best-practice as it impacts upon the librarian
and their library.
Chandos has therefore launched a new book series called
The Chandos Series for the Information Professional.
The books are practical and authoritative, helping
the librarian or information professional (working in a corporate library,
academic library (university library or college library), law library,
public library or other information management field) do their job better.
Chandos is based in Oxford. Publishing for many years,
it has been selling books to the library and librarian market – library
suppliers and the academic library (university library, college library,
school library), corporate library, law library, health library and public
library (local library and regional library) sectors. Several of Chandos’ books
have been published in association with The British Library.
Chandos also publishes books on construction management,
construction law and construction technology. These books are bought
by the construction library, engineering library, academic library and
law library sectors. |
